The whole day yesterday, I felt dizzy and had a headache and my eyes were closing at random times, but I got past that, and worked as hard as I could to write while being dizzy. It felt like the room was spinning, but I think that's what made me want to work harder. I finished about one and a half pages, and I would like to write one and a half more. I know it doesn't seem like much, but I feel really proud of myself for writing while I was in the state that I was.
Another thing I noticed while writing was, it's hard to make paragraphs. I know it should just happen, and after a while it did, but in the beginning, I had no idea how to make them "properly". I realized every person feels differently as to where there should be an indent. I looked at some of the books that I like to read, or have previously read, and they have a different way of making paragraphs. I decided that I'm going to make them where they look more comfortable to me.
Originally, I said I wouldn't be making the paragraphs until I knew how and where to make them and after looking at some other books, I know that I can make paragraphs while I'm writing it and if I don't like the placement, I can just change it later on.
Yesterday, when I got home, I put my USB into my computer at home and fixed all the spelling errors I had, although there weren't many. I tried to continue writing, but my head was hurting as if I had been standing in a hail storm for 3 days. I saved my work, went upstairs to lie in bed, and all I ended up doing was thinking about what the first chapter is going to look like, if I want a cliffhanger, and what the second chapter is going to be about. Even with my head hurting and me wanting to go to sleep, all I thought about was the book. I guess that's what Genius Hour is about. Once you start it, it's all you can think about and all you want to do is continue it and be excited for the next day when you do get to continue it, and you're always thinking of ways to improve it and make your project better. We do Genius Hour on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and then Tuesday and Thursday we blog. I'm super excited about the blogging and the actual writing part, and I'm glad we get to do this project every day of the school week :)
