One of them was to make a new website where I would post my lyric/quote art every day, as well as writing a little about what that specific quote or lyric means to me. I want to make one piece of art every day and post them the next day. I have been making a little notebook full of quotes and lyrics I like, in preparation for my genius hour project.
The next idea I had, is where stop motion comes into play. I wanted to make little stop motion videos of me making the lyric art, and posting them on my website and again, saying what the lyrics or quotes mean to me. I want to post one video every week because it will take me maybe about two or three days to make the video and it will take me two or three days to edit it and make it look "real".
I think both of these ideas are great, I'm leaning towards the second one because that will be a new learning experience for me, since I am not a very patient person.
After some thought, I have decided that I will be doing the stop motion idea, but only with my favourite lyric/quote art. I will be making a new website and will be posting daily art and with my favourite piece of art, I will be making a stop motion video on how I made it. I am really excited for genius hour and once I make the website, I will put a link to it on my home page.
During the process of this Genius Hour project, I hope to learn how to be more patient, and I hope to learn how to let my creativity turn simple lyrics or quotes into beautiful art. One last thing I hope to do in Genius Hour is to find quotes/lyrics that inspire me and make art that inspires others.
