1) What goals have you set for yourself in the past?
One goal I have set for myself in the past is to be a babysitter around my neighbourhood. I love watching younger kids and playing with them, so babysitting is ideal for me. I especially love watching 1-5 year olds, because they are so full of energy and they always brighten my day, even when I'm feeling like I want to cry. Whenever I babysit, I usually bring toys to play with, and depending on the age of the child/ children, I bring some board games. I am a babysitter at the moment - I have put up posters around my neighbourhood and I have recieved a few calls every now and then. The next goal I set for myself is to split the money I earn into two different sections - one for spending, and one for saving. This way, if I want to buy something big that is a bit expensive, I can just use the money from my savings jar.
2) Did I achieve these goals?
I achieved my goal when I got my first job babysitting my little sister. We had a really fun time - we played on my Wii, we watched a movie, had lunch, and when my mom got home she asked how our day was, and me and Chelsea (my sister) both said, "Great!" After my mom paid me I put half the money in my purse, and the other half in my savings jar.
3) How do you know when you had achieved your goal?
I knew that I had achieved my goal was when I looked at my savings jar and saw that it was half full! I had realized that ever time I got money, I split it up into two, like I said in my goal. I was extremely happy when I saw that I had followed and was participating in finishing my goal. I did have some difficulties splitting up the money evenly, but in the end, I think it worked out very well.
